John Davies

John Davies is a research fellow on the creative and digital economy at Nesta, the UK’s London-based innovation foundation. He works on using economics and data analysis to understand the creative industries. Recent projects including a review of the relationship between the artistic activity and digital technology for the European Parliament and developing an interactive map to analyse the state of London night life. Prior to Nesta he worked as English Heritage’s economist and led its social and economic research team. John has masters and undergraduate degrees in economics from LSE and has worked in consultancy and the civil service.
