State of the Arts Symposium 2020

The event will take place in Paris on February 6th and 7th 2020.

This symposium is co-organized by la Gaîté Lyrique and the University of the Arts, ZHdK, Zurich.

International Research Symposium 2019

Set up as a collaboration between Kompetenzzentrum Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft des Bundes (Germany) and the CreativeEconomies research venture of ZHdK, the research symposium will discuss narratives for value creation in the Creative Ecomonies. The event will take place in Berlin on October 30th 2019.

Hong Kong Panel 2019

Taking place on the 25th and 26th of March, the international workshop «Mapping Creativity» will explore narrative strategies for the advancement of the creative ecologies in Hong Kong and at a global scale. The event is acknowledged as an associated partner programme of Art Basel Hong Kong 2019.

International Conference on Creative Impact 2018

Set up as a collaboration between Kompetenzzentrum Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft des Bundes (Germany) and the CreativeEconomies Research Venture of ZHdK, the Conference will discuss creative impact as a matrix between innovation and creativity.

The conference will take place in Berlin, October 30th.

Berlin Panel 2018

«What if?» Christoph Weckerle, Simon Grand and Janine Schiller (ZHdK) introduced the approach of their CreativeEconomies Research Venture to explore current and future possibilities and strategies in the creative economies to the public of their collaborator Kompetenzzentrum Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft des Bundes in Germany.

London Panel 2016

Set up as a collaboration between Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design London and Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK, this Panel will discuss the particularities of the Cultural and Creative Industries in or between London and Zurich.

Hong Kong Panel 2015

Led by the maxim «To curate a city means more than running a gallery», this panel’s basic motivation is to present a selection of cases illustrating a major challenge for the city of Hong Kong in the coming years: the shift from an economic towards a cultural hub.

Following the Venice format, this panel aims to explore how the concept of «Curating» might relate to different fields of work in Hong Kong, contributing to an integrative approach to creative economy.

Venice Panel 2014

How is the concept of curating applicable to the study of creative economy? Taking place at the 14th International Biennale di Venezia, this panel discusses the fundamentals of global creative systems with a small group of international experts from art, science, culture and social studies.
